While Honda prides itself on a lineup of stellar family vehicles, their roots in racing go rather deep. That's why they offer a number of models in their showroom that feature some of that on-track performance. Sadly, their touted "penultimate" racing machine isn't making it to U.S. showrooms, but that doesn't mean we can't foam at the mouth over it.

At the Paris Auto Show, Honda has given us a look at yet another concept version of the Civic Type R, a vehicle that's been undergoing testing for quite some time. The goal is to shatter lap records, and make it the most potent front-wheel drive sedan on the market. If the 276 pony output is any indication, they'll do it. But not before we don't beg them on our knees to let us have it here in America.
