The Geneva Motor Show is in full swing and, thanks in part to Honda's efforts, it has all kinds of automotive enthusiasts talking. Our brand showed up in a big way, revealing three thrilling concepts on the big stage. We have a hard time picking favorites at our Westport, CT Honda dealer so we'll just go ahead and tell you a bit about each.
Beginning with the most familiar look, the Civic Type R that was revealed is an ultra-aggressive two-door hatch. Marked by blacked out wheels, an in-your-face grille, and even side wings, this is more of a cousin to the Honda Civic than a sibling. That being said, we'd love to get it out on the road, though we don't have any word about a US release for the ride.
Dialing the speed back a few notches, Honda also introduced its anticipated FCEV concept in Geneva. The fuel cell vehicle may sport a more exotic powertrain than that of the Civic Type R, but apparently this ride is slated for sale in America as early as 2015. Though it is a concept, brand execs insist that its eye-catching styling will remain when it hits production.
Finally, the NSX hybrid supercar also made a splash when it was revealed to the Swiss audience. In addition to getting power from a twin-turbo V6 engine, the model also makes use of two electric motors and regenerative braking to power all four wheels.
We'll have more about road-ready vehicles next time out, but if you enjoy staying up to date on all the latest vehicles from our favorite outfit, then add our Honda of Westport blog to you RSS reader today.
