It's small and nimble. It's spacious and comfy. And of course, it's accessibly priced. What more could you ask for from your Honda Fit? As it turns out, we didn't have to ask. Our preferred automaker has gone ahead and given the compact some nifty updates for 2015.
Rolled out under the lights of Cobo Hall in Detroit, the 2015 Fit offers a slightly larger wheelbase, more interior volume, a brand new engine, and frame construction. That is, of course, on top of the few cosmetic uplifts.
The most noticeable of these visual changes is to the front fascia, where Honda has implemented its blended grille and headlight set up. The look is more uniform, and a bit more aggressive. A big, big thumbs up there.
The new Fit also takes advantage of Honda's new Earthdreams 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Not only does this mill bolster fuel economy, it also gets a bit of a power boost to help make every day instances of passing and cornering a little bit easier.
On the safety end of things, Honda has also employed a lighter weight, more rigid frame construction. This is slowly becoming the norm for cars across the industry, and from the benefits we've seen, we can see the Fit's safety scores skyrocketing.
While the new Fit promises peace of mind behind the wheel, what about peace of mind in your car buying process? Well, that's what the fine folks here at Honda of Westport are here for. Drop by our dealership in East Westport, CT, and we'll introduce you to our lineup of new Honda models.
