As yet another year comes to an end, auto publications are working hard at creating their annual 'best' lists and awarding the most standout vehicles. A publication devoted to hybrid cars and EVs, Green Car Reports has just released their Best Car to Buy award for the fourth consecutive year.
It is no secret that the Honda Accord Hybrid is a car that we love at Honda of Westport and we are beyond pleased to learn that it has won the Best Car to Buy honor.
Strangely enough, as buildup was created prior to the announcement, Green Car Reports did not point out the Accord Hybrid as a nominee. The reason is valid. They didn't actually take it out for a test drive until the week the decision was made. As we could have told the editors at Green Car Reports, they discovered that the car leaves a lasting impression. After traveling 480 miles through three states, the testers were sold on the decision to name the Accord to the top of the list.
Of course, they celebrated the top levels of fuel economy the Accord Hybrid achieves. And, they also mentioned that when the vehicle is put into Eco mode, it maintains incredible performance while still driving efficiently. Additionally, the frame of the vehicle, nearly identical to the gas-powered version at Honda of Westport, is very spacious and cozy; a claim not every hybrid out there can make.
